Background

In line with its commitment to promoting peace, social cohesion, and youth engagement, Global Peace Chain Mali organized a peace awareness activity for young people at the National Park in Bamako. The initiative provided a platform for dialogue, learning, and reflection on the importance of peace in everyday life and in the sustainable development of communities.

Objectives

To raise awareness among young people about the importance of peace, tolerance, and social cohesion.

Specific Objectives

• Educate youth on the values and principles of peace.
• Promote peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among communities.
• Encourage young people to become ambassadors of peace in their schools, families, and neighborhoods.
• Raise awareness about the consequences of violence, intolerance, and conflict.
• Strengthen youth participation in peacebuilding initiatives.

Description of the Activity

The sensitization session was held at the National Park in Bamako and brought together young participants from diverse backgrounds. Through interactive presentations, group discussions, and awareness-raising activities, participants explored various peace-related issues and reflected on their role in fostering harmony within their communities.
